A few words about myself and my family

I am a seaman. I like my profession. When I was a child I spent much time on the seashore. I liked to watch the waves. I listened to the waves and admired them. I stuck up a friendship with a retired seaman. I often went out with him on a small boat. I remember a small bay and a high ridge of rocks running into the sea. This hight ridge acted as a sort of breakwater. We anchored there a short distance out in the deep channel. There was plenty of swimming and fishing and of course he told me many interesting stories.

I finishing secondary school at the age of 17. I had to make a serious decision as to my profession. I decided to go to sea. during the time I spend in the marine school. I studied with eagerness. My favorite subjects were mathematics, physics or and English. Under the guidance of our experienced teachers I became a good navigator. Unlike most places of work ashore a ship is both place of work and home to the sailor. Now I hold a master foreign - going certificate. I have 15 years of experience at sea. I have a large family. There are a six of us : my wife, my children and I, and there is also my mother in law, who sometimes stay with her son, my wife's brother. He and his wife often go on the business trips. When they are away the grandmother takes care of their children. I have tree children, a girl and two boys. The girl is fifteen years old. At the age of 11 she desided to take up the gymnastics. Now she is successful in sports as in her studies. My son Alexander in only a year younger then my daughter, while my second son. My wife works at the port authority office.

After long voyages I feel extremely happy when I came back to my country. Again I can see my family and my friends, and walk along the streets and parks of my home city.

I an in command of a modern vessel. The soviet union maintains shipping ties with many countries. I sail all over the world. My work is very interesting. When the time comes I leave my family and go on voyage again.
